The Desk
Who writes this, and what we hold it to.
Every review and guide on Vapor Reviews is published by The Vapor Reviews Desk, our independent research desk. We're the people pinning down the output figures, time-to-heat, and recovery numbers from verified documentation and owner readings so you don't have to.
Our promise
- Verified, always. No unit gets ranked on box claims. We pin down output, tank life, noise and upkeep from verified documentation and the consistent testimony of real owners. It's the whole reason we exist.
- Independence over payouts. We earn affiliate commissions on some links, but verdicts are set on the merits before money is considered. A brand can't buy a spot, a badge, or a softer sentence. See our disclosure.
- Real numbers, honest limits. When we cite a temperature, we tell you whose number it is: the manufacturer's stated maximum, or what owners consistently clock in real backyards. We're a research desk, not a calibrated lab, and we're straight about it.
- We keep it current. 94 reviews and guides and counting, re-checked as new units ship and brands revise models.
How we work
The full methodology (verified output, tank life, noise, upkeep, running cost) is laid out in detail on How We Rank. It's the same process behind every verdict on this site.
