What those /go links are

When you click a "check price" or product link on Vapor Reviews, it routes through a /goredirect on our own domain. Some of those links are affiliate links, to Amazon and, where a brand runs its own program, direct to the manufacturer. If you buy after clicking, the retailer pays us a commission. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. The price you pay is identical either way; the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket. That commission funds the research, the data work, and the writing.

Verdicts come first. Money comes after.

Rankings are set on the merits, verified output, tank life, noise, upkeep, running cost, safety design, and value, beforeanyone checks whether a product has an affiliate program. The order doesn't change afterward. If the best unit on a list earns us nothing, it stays at the top. The dry-herb vaporizers we cover are not sold on Amazon at all; we link to the maker and earn nothing.

• A brand cannot buy a ranking, a "Best Overall" badge, or a softer review. Not for any amount.
• We don't accept sponsored verdicts or paid placements, and we don't run "advertorial" reviews.
• A test unit doesn't buy anything either; a unit we bought and a unit we were sent are scored the same way.
• If our verdict and our wallet ever disagree, the verdict wins. That's the whole business model: being worth trusting twice.

Our ranked top picks draw from the same catalog as our reviews - units that cleared the same verification bar. Those picks may include affiliate links, and the same rule applies: the numbers pick the units, not the payout.

The serious notes

• Hot water and steam. Warm-mist vaporizers, steam inhalers and facial steamers produce boiling water and hot steam. Keep them out of reach of children, on a stable surface, at least a few feet from the bed, and follow the manufacturer's instructions; the American Academy of Pediatrics prefers cool-mist units in children's rooms. Any humidifier that is not cleaned can grow mold and bacteria.
• Comfort, not medicine. Steam and humidity can make cold and sinus symptoms feel better. They do not treat, cure, or prevent anything, and nothing on this site is medical advice. See a clinician for persistent symptoms, breathing difficulty, or any concern about a child.
• Specs are a mix of measured and stated. Output, coverage and decibel figures are the manufacturer's published claims or consistent owner reports, and we say which. Real-world results vary with room size, water, and settings.
• Prices change. We list MSRP or the going price at the time of writing; the "check price" link always shows the current number.
